EY Ireland posted record revenues at the end of its latest financial year, with the professional services firm hailing “continued strong growth” in its business on the island of Ireland.

The company’s Irish arm saw revenues increase by almost 10% in the 12 months ending in June, rising to €772m.

The group’s five-year compound annual growth rate stood at almost 16%, with its most recent financial year proving to be “yet another of market-leading growth,” the firm said. Globally EY reported annual revenues of $51.2bn (€47.5bn).

Publishing its annual transparency report on Wednesday, the firm reported a “strong performance” across its four service lines – Audit, Consulting, Tax & Law and Strategy & Transactions – despite a more challenging trading environment.

The company also noted that all of its Ireland offices – Dublin, Belfast, Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford, reported growth in the year.

EY’s headcount across the island stood at 5,196 at the end of June 2024, with the company recruiting 1,415 people across the island in the financial year. A further 1,804 were also promoted or progressed in the same period.

“This market leading performance further underscores our position as the largest and fastest growing professional services firm on the island of Ireland,” said Frank O’Keeffe, Managing Partner of EY Ireland.

“In our latest financial year, we delivered a strong performance across all four of our service lines thanks to growing client demand and to the work of our EY teams.”

Mr O’Keefe said the company was equally pleased to report a strong start to the first three month period of its new financial year, with relatively strong corporate finance activity in particular as well as a significant spike in client interest in AI and data solutions.

“We expect to see this momentum across our business continue to build as we go through the year,” the managing director said.
