Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:), which rose 2.37% or 0.58 points to trade at 25.09 at the close. Meanwhile, Prosus (AS:) added 1.09% or 0.44 points to end at 40.21 and Adyen NV (AS:) was up 0.55% or 8.00 points to 1,458.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Heineken (AS:), which fell 1.41% or 1.12 points to trade at 78.52 at the close. DSM Firmenich AG (AS:) declined 1.09% or 1.25 points to end at 113.40 and Universal Music Group NV (AS:) was down 1.01% or 0.24 points to 23.62.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 68 to 34 and 8 ended unchanged.

The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.

Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.39% or 0.26 to $67.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.46% or 0.33 to hit $70.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.00% or 27.65 to trade at $2,783.55 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.32% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 104.23.
