On October 28, the opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of the Republic of Armenia was held at the Palace of Mukams of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan.
As reported by TDH, representatives of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and its subordinate institutions, the general public, the media, cultural and art figures, teachers and students of specialized universities of the country took part in the celebration.
As noted, the Turkmen and Armenian peoples have many points of contact, historically conditioned and today constituting the humanitarian vector of bilateral relations. The arsenal of interaction between scientists and cultural figures of the two countries includes many years of joint work on studying the richest layer of history and culture of the Turkmen and Armenian peoples, testifying to their ancient contacts.
In this context, the importance of the extensive joint work carried out by scientists from both countries to study the legacy of the outstanding Turkmen classical poet Magtymguly Fragi, whose 300th anniversary is widely celebrated in our country and beyond, was particularly highlighted.
At the end of the official part, a concert of Armenian cultural and artistic masters took place. Its program included folk melodies and songs, classical and pop music, and dance compositions. The audience greeted the artists’ performances with loud applause.
As part of the Days of Culture, film screenings were organized for residents of the capital at the Ashgabat cinema and the Watan cinema and concert center.
An extensive cultural program has been prepared for the guests from Armenia, within the framework of which they will get acquainted with the sights of Ashgabat and museums.
The large-scale cultural event has become another clear evidence of the strengthening of bilateral cooperation, the source notes.
