WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Seventeen more early voting satellite locations are opening Tuesday in Sedgwick County.
They’ll be open the rest of the week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Remember to take a valid photo ID with you to the polls.
Today is also your final day to request a mail-in ballot — you must submit your request by 5 p.m.
As of this past weekend, Sedgwick County has already seen a 10 percent turnout for registered voters. That exceeds expectations from county election commissioner Rainwater, who expects another busy week with the 17 additional locations opening up on Tuesday.
”I’m just going to encourage people to vote early,” Rainwater said. “There are going to be lines because of the high turnout we are expecting of in-person voting. We just didn’t see as many mail ballot applications as we have in years past. I think people are wanting to vote in-person. They got ripped off in 2020 because of COVID, and they want to be in-person to cast their ballot.”
Polls in Sedgwick County will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. next Tuesday. You must vote at your assigned polling place if you vote on Election Day.
