WILLIAMSPORT — The man who claimed to be running a legitimate scientific business near Lewisburg was a drug dealer and a big one, a federal prosecutor says.

Anthony D. Bressi made fentanyl and fentanyl variants, assistant U.S. Attorney Geoffrey W. MacArthur said Monday in U.S. Middle District Court.

“He was making pounds and kilograms of fentanyl,” the prosecutor said in his opening statement in Bressi’s trial that could last into next week.
