November is just around the corner, and consumers are readying to take advantage of discounted products on Black Friday in Greece and Cyber Monday to save money.
With about a month remaining until the holiday shopping season kicks off, Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales events are expected to attract shoppers looking for substantial discounts.
Black Friday, traditionally the fourth Friday in November following the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday (November 28), will fall on Friday, November 29, 2024.
Since its third year in Greece, specifically starting in 2018, Black Friday in Greece has expanded into “Black Week.” This year, retailers are expected to begin major discounts earlier in the week, starting on Monday, November 25, rather than just on Black Friday itself. This comes as the usual November mid-season sales have been paused for the third consecutive year, allowing businesses—both large and small—to offer even more substantial discounts earlier.
Cyber Monday, the exclusive online shopping event, arrives three days after Black Friday, offering another chance for deals on digital platforms. In 2024, Cyber Monday will fall on Monday, December 2.
Shoppers, however, should remain cautious with both the products on offer and the websites they choose, as fraudulent actors may attempt to exploit the influx of online consumers during these major sales.
