The First Deputy Prime Minister went to the Republic of Belarus on a working visit. Denis Manturov was received by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, held talks with Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko, and also visited several industrial enterprises.

Alexander
Lukashenko and Denis Manturov discussed trade and industrial cooperation
between Russia and Belarus. Trade between the two countries increased by more
than five percent last year and reached almost $47 billion. Positive dynamics were
also maintained in the first eight months of this year: mutual trade increased
by 6 percent and accounted for $32.5 billion.

Russian
enterprises continue to enhance cooperation with Belarus. All Russian regions play
an active role in the development of cooperation. Thus, 42 regional delegations
have visited the republic since the beginning of 2024 alone. In June, the 11th
Forum of Russian and Belarusian Regions was successfully held in Vitebsk, with
56 Russian regions taking part.

Denis Manturov
stressed that Russia was actively interacting with Belarusian civil aircraft
manufacturing enterprises to produce components.

“This concerns
both the Ilyushin Il-76 and Tupolev Tu-214 aircraft. I expect that this trend
will continue, and we will expand the range of aircraft, the nomenclature, and the number of components,” the First Deputy Prime Minister said.

At the meeting
with Roman Golovchenko, the implementation of the single industrial policy of the Union State as part of the decree signed by President of Russia Vladimir
Putin and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in January 2024 was discussed,
including mutual access of industrial products of Russia and Belarus to state
support instruments. The parties are working progressively in this direction.

As part of his
working trip, Denis Manturov visited Belaz, which is the world’s largest
manufacturer of large and extra-large capacity quarry dump trucks, as well as other heavy transport equipment for the mining industry and construction. The plant employs about 9,000 people and produces over 100 modifications of dump trucks with a carrying capacity of 30 to 450 tonnes. In 2023, products
worth a total of about $880 million were delivered to Russia, including 904
units of equipment. The First Deputy Prime Minister inspected the main conveyor
shop, visited the Museum of Labour Glory, and was also shown innovative and serially produced models of equipment at the enterprise, such as the Union BELAZ-75304
dump truck with a carrying capacity of 220 tonnes, which has more than 90
percent of Belarusian and Russian-made components.

In addition,
Denis Manturov visited the BelGee Belarusian-Chinese enterprise that produces passenger cars under the BelGee brand.
