FC Andorra has become the champion of the U18 category after beating Olympique de Marseille by the minimum (1-2) with a comeback included in a vibrant final that had excitement until the end.
He started scoring for the French team and did so before the quarter-hour mark with a goal from Antoine Valero. The attacker faced the goalkeeper and beat him with a strong shot. The tricolor team has not given up, gaining meters as the minutes progressed and tied shortly after. A low cross in the heart of the small area was connected by Rodrigo Pociello, who sent the ball into the net. With the score tied at half-time, the tie was broken just at the start of the second half when Naoufal El Haimir scored the second with a powerful shot that the goalkeeper could not clear. Even Andorra could have scored the third, already in the final stretch and with the game wide open, when they sent a shot against the crossbar.
Without a goal conceded, FC Andorra surpassed the group stage with full victories before leaving rivals such as Aquahotel FC, OVT Academy, Shakhtar Donetk and Real Sociedad by the wayside in the qualifying rounds. They have become the champion of the youth category (U18) and are the third top scorer (20 goals), only surpassed by Athletic Club (23) and Real Sociedad (22).
