Leader of Fidesz’s European Parliament delegation Tamás Deutsch has spoken out against the largest opposition party in Hungary, TISZA, led by Péter Magyar. According to his accusations, TISZA has been consistently backing the migration agenda pushed by the liberal Brussels elite.
MEP Deutsch pointed out that the seven TISZA representatives in the EP voted in favour of the 2025 EU budget plan, which included stipulations of the controversial ‘migration pact’ that, in turn, assigns migration quotas to the Member States.
‘By voting for this flawed migration agenda, the TISZA Party has shown they are working against Hungary’s security…Instead of defending Hungary’s sovereignty, they voted to penalize us for protecting our borders,’ MEP Deutsch said according to the article on AboutHungary.hu.
He also made the claim that the TISZA Party had supported the penalization of Hungary for not complying with the migrant quotes, including the €200 million fine; as well as the addition of €10 billion to the funds allocated to migrant aid. Meanwhile, TISZA had opposed the €1 billion the Hungarian government requested in reimbursements for protecting the Union’s external borders, Deutsch added.
In contrast, the Fidesz–KDNP coalition is working to protect Hungary from the incoming wave of migrants and its sovereignty, the Fidesz MEP stressed. ‘We will not allow Hungary to become a migrant country,’ he declared.
