China’s Minister of Justice He Rong and Belarusian Minister of Justice Yevgeny Kovalenko sign a cooperation agreement between their respective ministries of justice.

China’s Minister of Justice He Rong met with Belarusian Minister of Justice Yevgeny Kovalenko in Beijing on Oct 22. 

He Rong welcomed Kovalenko and his delegation, briefed them on the guiding principles of the third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and shared updates on the work of the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) of China. 

She said China and Belarus are true friends and good partners based on mutual trust and sincere cooperation, with fruitful results having been yielded across various fields of mutual benefit, noting that the MOJ of China is willing to work with Belarus to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and continuously expand and deepen exchanges and cooperation in areas such as legislation, lawyer services, notary services, mediation, legal publicity, and personnel training. These efforts aim to contribute legal expertise to the high-level development of bilateral relations and further benefit the people of both countries.

Kovalenko lauded China’s achievements in economic and social development, as well as in the rule of law, and expressed willingness to continue deepening practical cooperation between the two sides to serve the rule of law of both countries.

Following the meeting, the two sides signed a cooperation agreement between their respective ministries of justice. China’s Vice-Minister of Justice Hu Weilie and Belarusian Ambassador to China Aleksandr Chervyakov attended the meeting.
