After back-to-back road losses against Shepherd and No. 5-ranked Kutztown, Lock Haven earned a win last week in exciting fashion, 35-32, over Bloomsburg. And now the Bald Eagles will look to make it two straight wins.

Lock Haven will have an extremely tough task this week however as the Bald Eagles travel to East Stroudsburg for a 12:05 p.m. game.

Jackson Ostrowsky threw for 339 yards last week in Lock Haven’s win to move to 3-4. The run game struggled to get established, although Damir Green did run the ball 11 times for 44 yards and a touchdown, averaging 4.0 yards per run.

Defensively, Lock Haven played well against Bloomsburg. The Bald Eagles picked off KJ Riley twice and recorded three sacks as well. In addition, Lock Haven didn’t allow a rusher to break 100 yards.

East Stroudsburg (6-1) is riding a three-game win streak having beaten Millersville (57-17), Bloomsburg (31-0) and West Chester (45-31). Against the Rams, East Stroudsburg held just a 7-3 lead after the first quarter before scoring 21 second-quarter points.

East Stroudsburg’s running game proved to be a difference maker as Tahir Mills ran for 140 yards on 14 carries and had two rushing touchdowns and Tyriq Lewis had 108 rushing yards on 12 carries and two touchdowns. Both backs averaged 9.0 or more yards per carry as well. Lewis has 573 rushing yards this year and Mills has rushed for 560.

In the air, Sean McTaggart threw for 199 yards, going 14 for 20 for a touchdown. McTaggart has thrown for 1,335 yards and 13 touchdowns.

East Stroudsburg has a tough defensive front. Seven players have recorded a sack this year in Terrell Reynolds (3 1/2), Lucas Skelley (2 1/2), Ashton Blose (2), Makai Booker (1 1/2), Raymond Simmons IV (1), Jared Fenstermaker (1) and Trenton Dunnick (1).
