Lil Durk allegedly made arrangements to take a private jet to Italy before he was arrested for his involvement in what prosecutors say was a murder-for-hire plot targeting Quando Rondo.

As reported by the Chicago Tribune, the unsealed federal criminal complaint following his arrest in Florida on Thursday, October 24 claims that Durk planned to take the private flight abroad after several of his associates were arrested on Chicago earlier that day. According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, he booked separate flights to Dubai and Switzerland but did not board either plane. Later that day, he booked a private jet to Italy for 9 p.m. local time.

He was arrested by federal agents one hour before his flight was scheduled to depart. Investigators also alleged that “witnesses and/or their family members have already received threats and/or have been contacted in what appear to be attempts to influence their participation in this investigation.” The other Only the Family associates arrested on Thursday were Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, and Asa Houston.

TMZ reports that the Only the Family members and Lil Durk were arrested for allegedly orchestrating the August 2022 killing of Quando Rondo’s cousin Saviay’a Robinson. Prosecutors alleged that the shooting was retaliation for the 2020 murder of King Von in Atlanta. Durk has been accused of placing the hit on Quando Rondo, which he escaped unscathed, and helped those involved book rental cars and hotel rooms.

Recently, Durk and King Von’s estate were named in a wrongful death lawsuit filed by FBG Duck’s estate over his 2020 murder. His mother, LaSheena Weekly, and two bystanders injuring in the shooting accused the defendants of civil conspiracy, wrongful death, negligence, battery, assault, emotional distress, and other charges. Durk’s OTF has been accused of running a criminal enterprise and placing a bounty on FBG Duck’s life.
