Britain and Ireland share a deep and enduring bond. Ireland and its people have contributed a great deal to the UK, in many cases literally building Britain, enriching great places like Glasgow, Liverpool and London. That closeness, not just in proximity, but in our shared history and family, has contributed to both our countries’ economic success.

It is no wonder that Ireland is the UK’s fifth-largest trading partner, with total trade north of €100bn. That’s more than our trade with Italy. More than Spain. More than China. Our trade supports about 700,000 jobs across both nations.
