Director General Wang will provide a comprehensive overview of the historical context of Taiwan-US relations, to include the evolving nature of China’s threats, including military exercises, economic coercion, and disinformation campaigns, and their implications for Taiwan’s security and sovereignty.

Elliot Wang currently serves as the Director General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural offices in Atlanta, Georgia. Director General Wang earned his Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from Tunghai University in Taiwan, as well as a Masters Degree in Diplomacy from National Chengchi University in Taipei, Taiwan. In addition, Director General Wang has attended training programs at Oxford University, The Harvard John F. Kennedy School of Government, and Taiwan’s National Academy of Civil Service. Since 1998, DG Wang has served in various diplomatic roles representing Taiwan across the world. His speciality is in South Eastern US/Taiwan relations, but has been stationed in Washington DC as well as Brussels, Belgium. Director General Wang has traveled across the Southeast for various diplomatic and economic responsibilities and duties. DG Wang is thriving in Atlanta where he enjoys spending time with his family. As well as, participating in hobbies such as wine tastings, golfing, cinema, and most of all enjoying the worldly culinary palette that Atlanta offers. We are looking forward to hosting him in November, and hope that you can all make it out.
