Attacks on the Dayton Agreement and Bosnia and Herzegovina will not go unpunished, and the United States of America will use all available instruments and expand sanctions against those who undermine BiH and its institutions, said Alexander Kasanoff, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Western Balkans in the Office of Europe and Eurasia, during a meeting with the Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina Edin Fort.
He emphasized that this is not in the interest of certain groups, but of all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, both the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Brčko District, as well as the Republika Srpska.
Forto said that integration into the European Union and the NATO alliance is a strategic interest of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Strong support for European and Euro-Atlantic integration was emphasized during the meeting.
The position that it is unacceptable for Bosnia and Herzegovina to fall behind while other countries in the region benefit from the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans was jointly emphasized.
Reform processes should be devoid of blockages because the processes of integration into the EU and NATO depend on them, which are of crucial importance for the peace and stability of not only BiH but the entire region, it was concluded at the meeting between Forte and Kasanof.
