Details On Wiz’s Indictment

TSR previously reported that the ‘Black and Yellow’ rapper was performing at the Beach Please! Festival on (July 13) when Romanian officers guided him off the stage. According to reports, Wiz had 18 grams of cannabis and a cannabis cigarette at the time of the incident. On July 14, Romanian police arrested and charged Wiz Khalifa, whose real name is Cameron Thomaz, with illegal drug possession through the anti-organized crime group DIICOT.

On Monday, October 21, DIICOT shared a press release stating that Wiz faced an indictment on October 15 for “possession of dangerous drugs without the right, for personal consumption,” per PEOPLE. Authorities told the outlet that they had finished Khalifa’s criminal investigation and submitted his indictment to the court for trial.

Romania insider notes that using illicit drugs can lead to a prison sentence ranging from three months to two years. As of now, neither Wiz nor a representative has responded to the news of his indictment.

Wiz Khalifa Previously Reacted To July Arrest

After Wiz lit up onstage, a video started circulating on X (formerly Twitter) showing how it all went down back in July.

Once Romanian authorities questioned Wiz and let him go, he took to social media to update his fans about what had happened. The Pittsburg emcee made it clear that he meant no harm by smoking during the festival.

“Last night’s show was amazing. I didn’t mean any disrespect to the country of Romania by lighting up on stage. They were very respectful and let me go. I’ll be back soon. But without a big a** joint next time,” Wiz wrote on X.
