ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) -More celebrities will join Vice President Kamala Harris at a metro Atlanta rally Thursday in her bid to become the first woman and first woman of color ever elected to the White House.
Spike Lee, Samuel L. Jackson and Tyler Perry will join Harris — along with former President Barack Obama and Bruce Springsteen — in metro Atlanta on Thursday.
The event will be at James R. Hallford Stadium in Clarkston, starting at 2 p.m.
The Harris campaign said the event is the first in a series of “When We Vote We Win” concerts, which are “focusing on driving enthusiasm and getting Georgians to vote early.”
Former President Barack Obama will appear with Harris at a DeKalb County campaign rally, one day after Harris’ opponent, Donald Trump, held an event at Gas South Arena in Duluth.
Harris has been paying multiple visits to Georgia in recent weeks, including coming to Augusta in her role as vice president to see damage from Hurricane Helene. In the same week, Trump came to Columbia County.
