What should you bring with you to your voting location? “You simply have to identify yourself verbally — you are going to state your name, your registered address and your year of birth,” Jaramillo said. “Now, if it’s your first time voting and you’ve never appeared in front of the county clerk’s office or an authorized representative, you will have to provide your ID for the first time.”How long can you take in the voting booth? “There’s no designated time limit,” Jaramillo said. You are allowed to take as much time as you need to properly understand and select the choices you need to on your ballot. Are your children allowed to be with you at the voting booth? “Absolutely,” Jaramillo says. He added that, depending on where you are voting, your child may even be able to receive an “I voted” sticker. Are you able to take notes with you to the voting booth? “Yes,” Jaramillo says. You can take handwritten notes as well as voting guides made by third party organizations into the booth. Can you look at your phone while in the voting booth? Yes, you can look at your phone, but you are not advised to record or photograph other voters, other voters ballots and poll officials.
