N.Korea discusses response to reported drone campaign by Seoul North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has reportedly convened a meeting on national defense and security after accusations that South Korea flew drones over its capital Pyongyang.

North Korea has insisted that the drones scattered propaganda leaflets over central Pyongyang earlier this month, and threatened retaliatory actions.

The Tuesday edition of North Korea’s ruling party’s newspaper Rodong Sinmun reported that Kim held the meeting with top military officials the previous day.

The newspaper said that attendees at the meeting heard the “general analysis of the case of enemy’s serious provocation that violated the sovereignty” of the country and a report on the “military counteraction plan.”

Kim reportedly set forth the “direction of immediate military action” and expressed a “tough political and military stand” of the country’s ruling Workers’ Party and government.

The meeting was held after Pyongyang announced on Sunday that it had ordered artillery units near the border with South Korea to get ready for further drone invasions by the South.

The South Korean military says that it has confirmed preparations being made by the North to blast a road linking the two Koreas.

The military has been on high alert for any moves by Pyongyang.
