Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Tuesday that Ukrainian authorities have information about the training of two units of the North Korean military with about six thousand men each.

Zelenskyy claimed during his evening address that two North Korean brigades of up to six thousand soldiers each are currently undergoing training in Russia, saying that he received a briefing from Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi regarding the situation at the front.

South Korea’s National Intelligence Service earlier said that North Korea has decided to send around 12-thouand troops to support Russia in its war against Ukraine.

Last Friday, Zelenskyy said that North Korea is preparing to send about ten-thousand soldiers, including armed forces and other tactical personnel, to fight against Ukraine.

Zelenskyy told reporters on Monday that North Korea is supporting Russia’s war “because of money,” saying that North Korea is very poor, so they will send their people to the front.
