Flight instructor for 'Top Gun' actors killed in air show crash A veteran pilot who served as the aerobatics flight instructor for the 2022 film “Top Gun: Maverick” has been killed in a plane crash at a US air show.

Charles Thomas Coleman was the only person aboard the small plane that went down in Las Cruces, New Mexico, on Sunday.

Video of the accident shows the plane diving vertically, and then making a rapid climb while spinning before crashing to the ground.

Coleman has performed stunts at hundreds of air shows.
