The government says domestic demand is showing signs of recovery.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance presented the assessment Friday in its monthly economic report, known as the “Green Book,” for October.

The ministry said the economy continues to recover, with solid exports and manufacturing gains amid the stabilization of consumer prices.

It said domestic demand is also showing signs of a gradual recovery led by facility investment and the services industry, although the pace of recovery varies from sector to sector.

Domestic demand has shown signs of gradual recovery for three straight months, it said, starting in August.

The output in the service industry increased zero-point-two percent on-month in August, growing for the third consecutive month.

Retail sales, an indicator of private spending, gained one-point-seven percent on-month in August.
