Before the actual referendum, we have to decide once and for all how to properly call Krško’s biggest attraction, the Krško power plant. The dilemma is whether it is properly nuclear or nuclear.

For additional help in the decision, the current question in the referendum uses the abbreviation JEK, the official name of the current building is Nuklearna elektrarna Krško. More correct for the current building seems to be NEK. But for the successor, the term JEK is much more common.

The most important modern resource, Wikipedia, does not give a clear answer. https://sl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jedrska_elektrarna_Kr%C5%A1ko

I suggest that someone make a proposal to the government that the results of the poll be taken into account and the referendum question be adjusted if necessary. The post is of course partly sarcastic, thanks for the idea to open this question goes to the user 7elevenses.

“Nuklearno” in “jedrsko” sta sopomenki, obe sta v normalni uporabi v slovenščini.

jaz bom vedno klical elektrarno v Krškem JEK
