We try to sell a car we don’t need anymore. Not even 24hrs after publishing it on different sources I first got a message on my phone. Pretty much just stating an interest and moving the conversation to mail.
After a short, do you wan’t to see the car? When do you have time from me, I got this message.
I’m already 95% sure it’s a scam. No questions about the car. The old, a company will come and get it then and all this, what’s known to be scams. But never heard it in context of cars.
And the car is priced on the upper end of the possible range. As we just started the process. So buy an unseen car, for good money (for us), pay for transportation and even export / import to france?
Yeah sure…

Rule of thumb: if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
I’m surprised they are suggesting a bank transfer rather than a check, which would make the scam obvious.
I’d be very surprised if you saw any actual money come from them to your bank account. Or maybe they plan on opening a dispute on the transfer once they have the car? But again, it would be pretty strange, as usually scammers don’t easily part with money.
It’s not a scam I can recognize, but it’s definitely fishy. I’d advise you to ghost them or tell them you don’t want to sell, just to be safe. Or pull a reverse scam move and ask them to pay via Bitcoin or gift cards and see how they react lol
They do not wire it, but send the proof.
Then they ask for the money back.
It’s scam for sure. Just ignore
“Schön fĂĽr dich” lmao
About the same I received when I sold my car – i think they fake a bank transfer and ask for the money back. Just ignore it
Scam.
I had the same approach for my car
They will send you the payment confirmation but unfortunately the bank require you to pay a small fee in advance. 300 Euro. Which will then be reimbursed afterwards. This was the trick.
They send me also a (probably stolen) ID card as proof of identity.
I sold one car once to a France guy.
But he payed cash and came personally to pick up the car.
You can answer him cash payment only. He won’t show up.
Make that a 100%. Its a scam.
