I saw a white light the other night shot across the sky in Adelaide I thought meteor but it had no tail flashed bright at the end then gone

There was a spacex starlink launch a few hours ago to low earth orbit. What you are seeing is probably stage separation and manoeuvring as it puts them in orbit.
