  1. It has been alleged that the producer accompanying singer Jessi during the fan assault incident is part of a Korean gang. On the 14th, JTBC’s Case Chief reported the story of the 18-year-old minor victim who was assaulted by Jessi after asking for a photo, along with the victim’s mother.

The victim claimed that Jessi’s companion, producer Koala, also assaulted him, saying, “He punched me twice in the stomach and kept pushing his head towards me. Even though I tried to avoid it, he kept headbutting me in a way that looked like gang gestures. My friends who were nearby also heard the word ‘gang.’ His walking and movements were not normal, so I looked it up and it seems like he’s part of a Korean gang.”

Another informant also pointed out that the tattoos on both of producer Koala’s arms, “K” and “OS,” could be the initials of the “Korean Outlaws,” a Korean gang based in Los Angeles (LA), USA.

In response, Jessi’s team stated, “Koala Producer has worked with Jessi a few times on music projects, but Jessi has no connection to any gangs. She also has no knowledge of Koala being affiliated with any gang.”

The victim’s mother expressed anger over Jessi’s apology, in which Jessi claimed no association with the attacker.

She said, “It doesn’t make sense to say ‘he wasn’t part of my group.’ My child said he was standing right next to her. When the attacker approached, I tried to stop him but missed, and Jessi just stood there watching as he hit my child. She claimed she didn’t know him, that he suddenly appeared and attacked, which makes me angry. Would someone act like that if they didn’t know each other?”

According to Case Chief’s earlier report, the victim encountered Jessi in a street in Apgujeong, Seoul, while heading to a convenience store early on the morning of the 29th of last month. After asking for a photo and being rejected, he was suddenly assaulted by Jessi’s group. The controversy escalated because Jessi, who was caught on security camera footage, did not stop the assault but instead left the scene. The police are currently investigating the incident.

Jessi later posted an apology, explaining, “I declined his request for a photo politely twice, and at that moment, the victim was suddenly attacked by someone I had met for the first time that day. I was so shocked by the sudden situation that I couldn’t take better care of the fan.”
