Family mourns toddler killed in Israeli attack on Gaza school One-year-old Yaman Al-Za’anin and his mother were among those killed in an Israeli airstrike that hit a central Gaza school on Sunday. Israel attacked the school in Nuseirat, where a polio vaccination session was to be held the following day.

Yaman’s relatives wept over the dead toddler, who was wrapped in a shroud, and caressed his cheek.

Yaman’s aunt said that the rockets fell on him as he was sitting safely in the school. She said that he was born there and martyred there, and that he had seen nothing of life.

The aunt added that people were told to go to the school, but there are no safe places anymore to hide their children.

Yaman’s grandfather said that so many people died, and there is no one left in Gaza.

He added that everyone goes to sleep in fear and wakes in fear, blaming the world for just looking at the people of Gaza.
