22-year-old man caught red-handed for hitting a school girl in the head with a metal pipe

A 22-year-old man was caught red-handed in a park in Ami-machi, Ibaraki Prefecture, yesterday for hitting a second-year primary school girl on the head with a metal pipe.

The suspect, 22-year-old Nagai Kotaro, an unemployed man from Ami-machi, Ibaraki, was caught red-handed on suspicion of assault.

According to the police, Nagai is suspected of hitting a second-year primary schools girl on the head with a metal pipe while she was playing in a park in Ami-machi shortly after 3.30pm yesterday.

The girl was not injured.

At the time, there were about 30 adults and children in the park, but the girl was playing alone.

A woman who witnessed the incident called 110, and the police officers who arrived at the scene arrested Nagai in the act.

The police are investigating the situation at the time.
