Interesting to see Pakistan and Bangladesh taking a different stance on this. Also, I can understand India but not Nepal.

Am I misreading something? Israel is denouncing this guy for overly close ties to Iran, and Iran signed on?

No idea what censuring is but it is irrelevant,UN and it’s subsidiaries proven to be deeply anti Israeli, the Israeli government may slow to act but there is much more punishing moves(half of thier employees and money is done on back of Israel)they have “assets” all throughout Jerusalem and Israel all will be taken,UNRWA and UNFIL,the border with Syria all those enemy forces will f off in the end…

This year has taught me that the UN is very meaningless as an orginazation. Nothing is enforcable, no decision matters, nothing. It’s a a huge farce.

The world would be a much better place if the UN – and especially the UN Secretary General spent a lot less time dogpiling on Israel and a lot more time going after the human rights abuses of the countries on this list.
China is committing a genocide in Xinjiang.
Russia’s actions in Ukraine amount to a genocide.
The UAE is supporting the RSF which appears increasingly likely to commit a genocide in Darfur.
Pretty much everyone has forgotten about Maduro stealing another election.
Spain refuses to accept the self-determination of people in Gibraltar.
Saudi Arabia waged a devastating war in Yemen which made Israel’s actions in Gaza look tame.
Iraq has a bill in parliament that, if passed, would make it possible for 9 year olds to be married (that a bill like that has even been proposed is a massive problem).
Most of the countries which signed are flawed democracies at best.
Iran is supporting terrorist groups like Hamas and the Houthis.
And this is not a complete list.
The UN has a massively disproportionate focus on Israel, and I’d argue that amounts to antisemitism. The UN hyperfixates on the world’s only Jewish state while refusing to take a serious stance against the terrorist groups attacking Israel, or most of the countries who signed that letter.

All the Scandinavian countries signing the letter. I’ve noticed that the Scandinavian countries don’t seem to like Israel based on their view that Israel is very unprofessional & rogue-ish. Those countries really don’t like siding with anyone who they view as not abiding by Western standards.
Israel conducting assassinations in Europe also probably still leaves a bad taste. While it can be argued as justified, they’ve hit innocent people in Europe too & extrajudicial assassinations are a violation.
Vietnam not signing the letter is a big deal. Shows the true flexibility of Vietnam’s foreign policy that they don’t feel obligated to go full anti-Israel to garner credibility in the developing world.

This map would be more interesting when it shows the list of countries signing this letter who also formally recognize Israel AND Palestine.

If Israel was created thanks to an UN resolution it should also revoke its existence with a vote in the general assembly if it ignores the UN.
