Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has held a series of talks with the leaders of Britain, France and Italy to gain support for his plan to end Russia’s invasion.
Zelenskyy traveled to the three countries to meet with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Thursday.
Zelenskyy said on social media that he outlined the details of Ukraine’s “Victory Plan” in his meeting with Starmer. He added, “We have agreed to work on it together with our allies.”
He says the plan aims to create the right conditions for a just end to the war.
In France, Zelenskyy told reporters that he shared the victory plan with Macron as well as the situation on the battlefield.
In Italy, Zelenskyy revealed that he also presented the plan to Meloni. He told reporters that it is very important that all partners work together for just peace.
Zelenskyy had planned to discuss the proposed plan at a summit-level meeting on military assistance for Ukraine that was scheduled to be held in Germany on Saturday.
But the meeting was postponed after US President Joe Biden canceled his visit to Germany to oversee preparations for and the response to Hurricane Milton.
