Yes this is common in East Asian counties, makes the commute more peaceful and easier for everyone

Maybe get rid of the huge bikes during rush hour first. Nothing is enforced. Even people booking seats on trains have nobody to enforce this if some dumb fucker insists the seat is theirs

  3. What would be the point? No one will enforce it and even if the cunts who act that way got to court, nothing would be done eitherย

  4. Ever since I got my noise cancelling headphones, the commute has been much better.

People are assholes and there’s no enforcement of existing rules so they’ll do what they want. Get yourself a good pair of noise cancelling headphones and blast your own music.

  5. I wish. Was on a bus yesterday and a group of 13-14 yo girls sat behind me. Completely pissed off their faces, vaping, shouting โ€˜yup yup yup yup yupโ€™ and โ€˜yaaaaaas I love you kweeeeeeenโ€™ among other things, playing music loudly and more. I did ask them to keep it down and stop vaping but while theyโ€™d agree theyโ€™d giggle and whisper shout about being good.

The driver didnโ€™t give a shit either.

  6. But how on earth will we get those videos of someone whipping to a guitar and fiddle on the bus and the comment section flooded with “Only in Ireland”

Sure what difference would it make to the /r/Ireland user who is too afraid of any sort of in-person confrontation?

I’d love it! Effing hate it when some gobdaw starts playing their music on loudspeaker

In the US a bus driver will stop the bus and approach any patrons that are speaking loudly on a phone, playing music or generally making too much noise. Passenger comfort is taken extremely seriously.
In the UK and Ireland you can basically have a rave, fornicate and riot and the bus driver couldnโ€™t care less.

I have no problem with people singing, but the phone on speaker is awwwwful. I don’t want to listen to your terrible podcast and I definitely don’t want to listen to the first 2 seconds of a bunch of songs and speeches as you go through tiktok. That’s genuinely torturous.
