The suspect, 23-year-old Aiki Nishida from Higashi-Osaka, was arrested on suspicion of violating Osaka Prefecture's Youth Development Ordinance.
According to police, Nishida is accused of engaging in lewd acts in April 2024 at his home in Higashi-Osaka, knowing that the teenage girl he met through social media was under 18 years old.
The incident came to light after the girl’s family reported to the police that she had not returned home after going out to play with friends.
Nishida partially denies the allegations, stating, "I admit to the acts, but I was told she was 19 years old."
