Not a huge amount of details in this article, but reading it gave me chills and a feeling of dread. I have a young lad near the same age, I just cannot even imagine the fear and abuse this young child had to endure in such a short life.

Also note the date of the death. March 2021 – schools and preschools were closed from January till early March so this child would have had little contact with anyone who may have been able to help him or remove him from the home, for two months at least.

Mr Justice McDermott said the aggravating features of the offending was the age of the victim and described him to the court as “a small, defenceless four-year-old little boy” who had been “isolated in a continuously frightening situation”.

The murder of innocents, especially young children, has to be one of the most disgusting, outrageous and inhuman acts there is. We’re meant to protect our offspring (regardless how much they annoy us) not harm them.

Why aren’t they naming the cunt? Was the law not changed to allow naming when the death of the child had occurred.

Did the judge have the option of not running the sentences concurrently? Because even 24 years seems too light in this case, let alone a max of 7.

That poor child’s funeral took place during Covid restrictions so many of his family members had to wait outside and listen while his father, who played a role in this, was inside spewing lies at the altar.
BTW the child, the father, and the father’s partner were named when the charges were issued. Don’t know why they can’t be named now. The father’s partner is entangled in another crime where a known criminal made threats of violence towards her and that happened after this boy’s murder so I wonder if it was the motive
