Steam now tells gamers up front that they’re buying a license, not a game | The company appears to be getting ahead of a California law going into force next year.

Hey, Steam, don’t forget, if buying isn’t owning…
Owning physical games>>>
This is good for GOG.
GaaS (Gaming As A Service). It was a pretty inevitable subscription model.
Knew this was eventually going to happen. I really hated when we moved away from physical copies
I’m firmly against copyright monopoly law at all, but you’d think the doctrine of first sale would at least be forced to apply to game purchases like book purchases while copyright’s still a thing.

It’s not as if you could even play the games without steam.
Was it not always like this with Steam? Even if the game gets delisted on Steam as long as you have the license you can still download it.
Thought we are okay with that since the only way those games will be lost is if Steam gets shut down. I assume I’ll die first before that even happen.
