1000 illegal migrants a day multiplied by Tory / Labour hotel costs = profit.

It’s amazing what a weekend of good weather can do to this economy.

Good stuff. Inflation seems to be under control, BOE and the fed cutting rates, us equities hitting all time highs this week, uk equities will probably go up after the budget. Think we’re almost out of the woods.

1.3% growth since October last year, adding the ups and downs.
Against the usual 1.1% since 2010 and the long term average of 2.5%.
So the little spurt in Q2 was not a real return to the old norm just noise in the signal.
Immigration is near 1% so your per capita GDP is flat.
Housing and tax are up so your disposable income is slightly down unless you are a landlord.
This is why we got rid of the Tories and this is what Labour need to fix to have a farts chance in a hurricane of winning again.

in all honesty, these numbers are meaningless. A tool to win support from potential voters, and to instill into the public that the government are doing well with this “growth”. “Real” and actual growth for the UK can only increase within the next generation (i.e. the young people). For the next 20 years, I seriously doubt real change will happen at all.
