>Multiple polls now show Harris gaining on Trump, and sometimes beating him, on the question of economic stewardship. Perhaps that’s why she’s gaining a bit among white working-class voters. There’s growing reason to believe Harris can win enough working-class support to win the presidency. But her pitch to these voters still needs to improve. Perhaps the small encouragement the new Times/Siena poll offers about the working-class vote will inspire her to do so.

Hopefully, this will translate not only in the popular vote but also into the actual electoral votes!
– In FY2019, OSHA had only 875 inspectors, the lowest number since the agency’s founding in the 1970s.
– Trump signed H.J. Res. 37 repealing the Fair Pay and Safe Workplaces rule that required companies bidding on federal contracts over $500,000 to disclose labor violations, enabling firms with histories of workplace safety issues, wage theft, or other abuses to freely secure lucrative, taxpayer-funded government work.
– On August 31, 2017, a federal judge struck down Obama’s overtime rule extending overtime pay eligibility to 4.2 million workers earning up to $47,476 annually after Trump’s DOL declined to defend it in court.

Or she’s losing in a landslide or the election is tied. You can find headlines saying literally everything these days.

Which one is it? Half the media narrative is talking about how Trump is killing it with voters right now.

If she were a man, she would be farther ahead. Downvote me all you want, but this is a misogynist country and a man gets you the greatest probability of electoral victory.

Article says she hasn’t been to MI since mid-September but she was in Flint with Magic Johnson late last week.

TRUMP SLAMS DETROIT AT RALLY IN DETROIT – “COUNTRY WILL BE LIKE DETROIT IF HARRIS WINS” AS HE ASKS FOR THEIR VOTES ON NOVEMBER 5TH!

He has only offered a sales tax as a solution to combat inflation and other economic issues that COVID brought us all.
We all heard it from his own mouth that he has no plan to actually help the country.
Makes perfect sense that Harris is gaining ground here.

I think she did a long time ago. The problem is all the media moguls are Trump MAGA ( er, mega) donors.

I keep hearing this, but I see the polls closing in everyday that goes by.
I want to believe. I really do. But I’m TERRIFIED that Trump will win.
It’s just starting to look like 2016 again, and I honestly can’t believe it only took 4 years for people to forget how awful Trump was in his first term.

Classism.
The ‘working class’ includes the vast majority of college grads.
I have a genetics degree, I work in healthcare and make a paycheck. I am working class. I was working class when I was a cook making a fraction as much.
I have no plans to start a business or become a landlord or do anything else that removes me from the working class.
Doctors who pull 400k in wages are working class.
Contractors, day laborers, service industry, firemen, chefs, fishermen, pathologists, dock workers, nurses, teachers, researchers, engineers.
All who work to earn their wages are the working class.

I feel this is less about Harris becoming more popular than it is about Trump becoming much less palatable as an option. Die hard conservative will NEVER vote for Harris but increasing numbers might just not vote for Trump if they vote at all.

This is going to piss people off because people will think I’m siding with trump, this is just how I feel with the race today. Kamala Harris needs to do more town halls. I think if the election was today trump would win. Trump has taken the real clear politics lead now in 5 of the 7 swing states (GA NC AZ PA & now MI) while only down 0.5 in Wisconsin when kamala Harris was up 3 in WI just a month ago. One thing that Trump has done that she hasn’t (she’s finally doing it) is Trump has been going out doing tough interviews. Kamala Harris did 60 minutes which is a good thing. Not sure how the public precieved it. But trump has all the momentum he’s polling better with Latinos Black Males and Gen Z (not total, but better than he was in 2016, and a lot better than he was in 2020). Turning point action is registering record amounts of young voters in swing states, republican voters. The Harris internals aren’t optimistic. She’s doing great with women, but atrocious with men. Her polling with women is the same as Trump with men. Which is an advantage to her because more women end up voting usually. Trump is struggling with voter turnout (Christian voters normally don’t vote) could be a red flag for him. Kamala though isn’t getting enough support from Biden it seems. Also in Trumps case, people either love him or hate him. But they know him. People don’t know kamala Harris. She’s smart for getting Obama to campaign with her in the final 2-3 weeks. But she’s in trouble. The union vote in the blue wall states is lacking, the Israeli Palestine issue is a divider in the Democratic Party which could affect her in Michigan. I don’t know. She can definitely win still. It’s just not trending like it was a month ago. I expected a close election anyways. It’ll be a coin flip

I can’t think of a more significant instance of “people with faces voting for face eating leopards” than if Trump somehow remained the working-class voter’s candidate of choice.
Like do folks not look at his history? The Republican platform? His actual policies? Are people just blindly accepting shallow silver bullet promises of “once the migrants are gone your life will be great”? Like Trump is an awful, awful choice for workers on a dizzying number of levels.

I thought that the Democratic senators in at least Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, Arizona and Pennsylvania are running ahead of their Republican opponents by more than Harris is against trump. It’s hard for me to understand that gap. Moreover, in North Carolina, how is it that Stein can be double digits ahead of Robinson, yet Harris is down a point?
