Obama calls on voters to support Harris in swing state of Pennsylvania Former US President Barack Obama has called on people to vote for Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris during a speech in the swing state of Pennsylvania.

Obama criticized Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in a rally in Pittsburg on Thursday.

The former Democratic president said: “All he cares about is his ego and his money and his status. He’s not thinking about you.” Obama said Trump figures that having people divided and angry boosts his chances of being elected. He said Trump doesn’t care who gets hurt.

Obama said: “America is ready to turn the page. We are ready for a better story, one that helps us work together instead of turning against each other. Pennsylvania, we’re ready for President Kamala Harris.”
US media said Obama is expected to visit other battleground states before Election Day on November 5.

Harris apparently hopes to win more support in the swing states with help from Obama who is still very popular in the Democratic Party.

Obama became the first African American to assume the post of the US president in 2009.
