Israeli war cabinet weighs response to Iran missile attack Multiple media outlets are reporting that Israel’s security cabinet is expected to authorize a plan to retaliate against Iran for its missile attack last week.

The cabinet was set to meet on Thursday to decide on a response. Israel’s allies have said it has a right to retaliate but do not want any strikes on nuclear facilities or oil fields.

In the latest fighting in southern Lebanon, Israel’s military said it killed several Hezbollah militants. It added that soldiers destroyed a facility used to store rocket launchers, anti-tank missiles and other equipment.

Israel Defense Forces Spokesperson Daniel Hagari said, “All of these weapons were stored and piled in the house, ready for the big raid.”

Hagari showed off the munitions that he says the troops found, including mines, hand grenades and sniper rifles.

Meanwhile, the United Nations says Israel wounded two of its peacekeepers in an attack on an observation tower.

Andrea Tenenti, a spokesperson for the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, said, “It’s very concerning because the parties have an obligation, an obligation to respect and protect our peacekeepers.”

The UN said the Israelis have hit their positions “repeatedly” and that the latest attack damaged vehicles, a communication system and security cameras.
