I love Croatia. I’ve been to Zagreb, Split and Zadar(twice) all wonderful places – 100% better than Greece and the ryanair flight is like 20€. Croats have always been nice to me. In fact, I did an ancestry DNA test and it gave me 72% Balkan – split between Croatia and Bulgaria, so I have some ancestry there.
If I hit the lottery, I’d definitely buy a house on the coast there. Edit: I like your football team.
