No details on how they were originally acquired. Were they stolen? Or purchased, or given as gifts. Without knowing that it’s hard to judge whether the people complaining have a point or not.

So thankful I was able to make many memorable visits to the Pitt Rivers museum back in the day and see all the looted artefacts before the world went into woke overdrive…the shrunken heads and the witchcraft dolls were the highlight for us kids.
