Politicians are now airing the idea of sending military funds to the Pacific. Initially in the form of a single officer, but the clear signal here is that people at Borgen are open to sending frigates to the other side of the globe. This is happening at a time when the Norwegian Navy has major challenges in being able to sail within the Commonwealth. In addition, the ships largely lack sensors and weapon systems to be able to defend themselves. At best, it will probably take 2-3 settlement periods before they have them in place – if ever.
