According to Jan Mencwel from the “Miasto jest Nasze” organization, the city hall’s campaign should be addressed primarily to drivers who are responsible for most accidents on the capital’s roads. Mencwel compares the action to a situation in which non-smokers are informed about the harmful effects of smoking, instead of educating smokers. He emphasizes that road accidents are largely the result of drivers’ recklessness, speeding or failure to give way to pedestrians. In an interview with the Interia portal, Mencwel said directly that in his opinion it was “an attempt to do something for fun.”
