A sincere advice, and I hope you don’t take it for bad, don’t trust too much on the “free world”, specifically one country.
I am Uruguayan, I know what Armenians have suffered in all its history. Our country not only was the first to recognize the genocide, we are a nation mainly of European and African peoples. The Armenian community, that like other community in this country is dying because of the lack of opportunities (here it’s very common that great grandsons of Italians and Spanish take the citizenship and return to those countries, where 80~100 years ago they run away because of the same thing we are currently suffering), brought orally, what very later was written and well documented, the atrocities that you people suffered in the hands of the Turkish.
But especially do not trust the US GOVERMENT. The people are other thing (and for that I can give first hand prove, I worked and lived among Americans for 24 months), and believe me when I say that many things that the US GOVERMENT does is not supported by many Americans.
This is not about conspiracy theories… We Latin Americans not only suffered the “liberation of communism” at hands of brutal backed up by USA dictatorship. It is not only that. The History is there to read.
We are with you, Uruguay is a small country, we don’t have importance in the “congress of nations”, but we will always be with the Armenian people, always. And as a South American (citizen of a Estado Tapón, an artificial entity, sometimes here we joke that the balcanization started right here 🤣, but that was the last Magnus opus of the defunct British Empire), I think the first help, a very helpless help, is to give you this advice.

I don’t quite get that logic. The Ottoman Empire became the Republic of Turkey. Armenia was not an independent country at that time.

I was in Australia in 2020 and 2023 and I cannot remember any reporter talk about what happened to Armenia and how over 120 000 Armenian had to run for their lives … About which free world is the OP talking about ? There is only one thing I can agree with the OP : we will survive this young country as well , but who is going to heal our wounds?

Perpetrated by the same state that provided weapons to Azis on their own murderous campaign.
If my Armenian heritage has taught me one thing is that 1) explanations based on religious lines are to convince people to do the killing. 2) the killing ks always over resources and 3) loyalty should only ever be owed to people, never a State.
