Would not be that bad once you have a good salary and you enjoy smaller cities.

I am from Ganja and I love my city. No longer live there and i think at this stage of my life I wouldn’t, but with more infrastructure and care it would do well honestly. It can get a bit boring because there’s not as much variety in entertainment, but the people are imo more generous and kinder (i’m talking about the older generation), the groceries are more affordable and MUCH tastier than in Baku. And the təndir bread, oh my god how much i miss it. Unfortunately, as I mentioned, the city needs care of all kinds and better management. The main issue is job diversity – very narrow: banks, trade, service industry, beside the obviously necessary education and medical fields, are pretty much it. I’m a chemical engineer and there are practically NO even remotely good jobs for me in Ganja. That’s why there is a big flux of younger generation **out** of the city to Baku, which I consider quite a pity because a lot of talented people are not staying, so the demographics is getting screwed and now it’s what my mum calls it “the city of the enderly”. I wish it would be otherwise, with Ganja being the second/third largest city in the country, there’s a lot of potential.
