Today (8/10-2024) we mark one year since Israel’s response to the terrorist attack on 7 October. Since then, more than 41,000 have lost their lives in Palestine, according to health authorities in Hamas-controlled Gaza. It is a day that evokes many strong emotions and reflections. To ensure discussions remain unified and respectful, we’ve created this megathread for the topic.

Please keep the debate civil and avoid personal attacks. The discussion should focus on the events of October 8 and subsequent events. Racist, discriminatory or other content that breaks the rules is not allowed.
This is a sensitive discussion, so let’s remember to show respect for the victims on both sides.
