  1. Ireland really needs to get its act together when it comes to defense, it’s getting embarrassing.

    NATO is almost certainly a non-starter, as its so widely unpopular an idea.

    Modeling ourselves on neutral Switzerland, and integrating into EU defense operations would be the route that would get the most support.

  2. Ireland, Austria, and Switzerland are some of the biggest security risks outside NATO to NATO, Mexico for the US, when it comes to the new Russian-NATO Cold War. Moscow takes advantage of these neutral states against the states they in a Cold War with, specifically UK, Germany, France, and the US.

    The Ireland state isn’t friendly with Russia like Hungary or Slovakia, it’s just neutral and incompetent to these security risks.
