This is obviously a hot-button issue, and one which tends to get a lot of people riled up while advocating and/or demonstrating for their preferred side/outcome. All I can say is that I hope that, regardless of which side anyone supports, that everyone remains peaceful and true to Canada’s valued tradition of sensible free-expression.
If there aren’t any assaults, arrests, major property damage, or whatever else will lead commentators to try to further push their preferred agendas, I will be extremely surprised; that said, I hope that we can do a little bit better each time. People feel very strongly about the issue, but we need to remember that it’s happening over there, half a world away. Causing problems here in Canada is not helpful, and shouldn’t be encouraged or tolerated.
