48 years too late, but at least the employer replied regardless of the delivery issue, unlike many of them these days ghosting applicants

Somehow that’s not even the most mental part of it.

What a life she must have had!

“She moved to Africa, worked as a snake handler and horse whisperer, learned to fly and became an aerobatic pilot and flying instructor.”

    She sounds cool

She sounds like one of those people you want to sit down and listen about their life

  5. Maybe that’s what happened to all my job apps as I’m still waiting for a reply too………..

“applying for a job as a motorcycle stunt rider, sent in January 1976”

You don’t see these types of vacancies anymore. Bloody Tory’s.

  7. Cool life. Nice to have money to travel to Africa and become a snake handler, pilot’s licenses don’t grow on trees either.

Still, good for her for being an interesting and curious human, good on you Tizi.

How they found her? Nonetheless she was awesome. Way ahead of her time.

  10. I applied for an apprenticeship when I was 17 and i got the old ‘thanks but were not recruiting right now and we will keep you on file’ response. I got a job in another field a few months later whilst I waited for a reply.

As my career progressed, I forgot about my application.. Almost 20 years later I received an email advising that the apprenticeship scheme was now open…
