The TFR data for Turkey was 1.51 in 2023 according to TURKSTAT. I am sure it hasn’t increased since then. Additionally, I don’t think the northern regions of Iraq have such a high fertility rate; the southern part of Iraq likely raises the overall figure significantly.

Maps of Asia without Russia don’t make sense to me. I understand that most Russians live in the European part of their country, yet Russia as a whole comprises about half of the Asian continent. It’s a huge country that’s obviously in Asia as much as in Europe. Geopolitically, it’s not really European but more Eurasian.

Palestine? If this is included in Israel’s numbers that’s deceiving. Naomi’s also inaccurate in the area. West Bank and Gaza aren’t Israel

Maybe Iran saw the fastest decline in their tfr. It was more than 5 just 35 years ago.

China cannot even afford to feed its people. It’s prudent to reduce fertility rate, in fact 1.2 is way too much for a nation of its poverty and struggle rate. Reduction to 0.2 to 0.3 would be ideal and sensible.
