  2. At least not all of Iowa’s congress delegation were sleazeballs like Feenstra. And it was his district that needed the FEMA funds this past June with all the flooding. Fkn hypocrite.

  3. How anyone from Florida can vote against this is a mystery.

Their districts should remember this absolute betrayal.

  4. lancer-fiefdom on

I know its important to point this type of hypocrisy out to the public. But the fact Republican legislators from the United States House down to the local school board proudly vote against their interests is proof they know their voter base are loyal no-matter-what and stupid-as-f$^%

  5. Pretty_Boy_Bagel on

They voted against it and the ones from districts that were affected will claim credit once the funds reach their districts. It’s the GOP way.

  6. PlatinumKanikas on

Dumbasses from the states that asked for (and received) assistance. How can people continue voting them in?

  7. Every person that list: _It’s not our fault, who could have known a disaster like this would happen? Thoughts and prayers y’all._

  8. Ok_Discipline_3285 on

Let’s make the ones who are on this upcoming ballot lose their races in November.

  9. Before vaccines or drag queens were the existential threat to civilization it was (for a time) FEMA Camps, where Republican voters were to be liquidated. Perhaps the hatred of emergency management dates from that manufactured hysteria?

  10. sweetfaerieface on

Any rep that voted for this should be voted out! Interesting that the representatives of the states that were most affected by the hurricane voted no

  11. authorizedscott on

Biggest pieces of shit. Emergency aid and services should *never* be political. It should just be taken care of.

  12. The list of who voted against isn’t as impactful as here as the CUTS that were made in order to get enough Republicans to vote to pass to it.

This still passed, but it was missing billions in originally requested supplemental aid. So when you have to get enough Republican Senators so you can get past a filibuster it shows the reductions needed to get enough of them onboard.

  13. DragonSoundFromMiami on

Maybe they should make it an opt-in program instead of a full Federal program?

“We’d love to help you, but the people YOU voted for decided it wasn’t a good idea, so you don’t get funds”

  14. sheisallovertheplace on

I thought Republicans said they don’t need Federal assistance. They don’t want socialism for their state’s. Give the responsibilities back to the states.

  15. So wait, maga Facebook friends posting garbage about hurricane victims online getting $750 bit we then send millions to other countries, is all because of Republicans doing? Classic Republican move

  16. Is the talking point going to be “wHuT eLSe wUz IN it!?” Like with the border security bill they also voted against?

  17. EquipmentFit3748 on

And fox entertainment is saying Biden is not doing enough!!! They sabotaged FEMA!!!!

  18. Dan Bishop is running to be Attorney General of NC and voted no.

In case anyone was still undecided.

  19. Joggin’ Josh Hawley. Who famously fist pumped the insurrectionists, then ran away from them under the cover of a secret service agent.

  20. Global-Tourist1089 on

If the Democrats had their way, there would never be a disaster too big for the government to handle, inflation would be under control, and the border and infrastructure would be non-issues. The Republicans need something to blame them for, though, so they sabotage them at every turn.

  21. I don‘t even need to look at the list or number of votes to guess the results. Every republican other than like 2 voted against it

  22. ParanoidDrone on

    *Searches for “Louisiana.”*

    *One result found.*

On the one hand, I’m pleasantly surprised only one of our reps voted against FEMA funding. On the other hand, upon looking up the rep in question, I’m disappointed all over again. Their district is _literally on the gulf coast._
